We are delighted to announce that our second Shine Ball, which was held on Saturday 15th September, was a fantastic success and raised just over £18,000 for SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health).
This Ball was a celebration of Inspire’s 10 years in business as well as being a Fundraiser and it certainly was an evening to remember!
This sparkling occasion was held within the fabulous location of Aker Solutions in Dyce where Inspire provides the catering Monday to Friday. This allowed us to turn their ground floor café/restaurant into a glittering ball room for the night enjoyed by 230 people! The Ball included an auction and prize draw, music, dancing and the highlight of the night, a 10-course culinary extravaganza of delicious food!
As we celebrated our 10th birthday on 2nd June, we thought it only fitting to create a menu offering 10 mouth-watering courses! The menu was expertly prepared and delivered by our incredibly talented Inspire teams – we had over 50 staff with us on the night, all of whom work for Inspire!
The kitchen team were led by our 2 Fellows of The Master Chefs of Great Britain – David Hunt, Chef Director and Willie Pike MBE, Executive Development Chef, who alongside an exceptional front of house operation, delivered an outstanding experience! So much so, it was suitably appreciated by the guests in the room by giving a standing ovation to the whole catering team during the Santé du Chef!
A true team effort
Inspire Owners, Lorna McFarlane and David Pease, had this to say:
“Events of this nature simply don’t happen without a huge team effort. There are many people and businesses without whom this event would not have been possible! Thanks go firstly to Aker for allowing us to use their amazing building, also to our headline sponsor Bidfood – a marvellous partner who we have worked with for 10 years! Also our other key partners and supporters who made our Ball the success it was on the night. Thank you all!
We’re also immensely lucky to have such committed and inspirational staff who wanted to be part of this event – they ‘make’ Inspire the business it is and we are hugely proud. To support SAMH by raising £18,000 is incredible, and we are delighted to be able to assist them.”
