The last Friday of September usually marks Macmillan Cancer Support’s annual fundraising World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which we were delighted to take part in this year. To help raise vital funds for the charity, we held coffee mornings in each of our business and industry client sites.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning sets out to do just that, by encouraging everyone across the UK to take part in a coffee morning within their community, where cakes, coffees and treats are sold for donations to Macmillan.

For each staff restaurant taking part, Inspire funded the ingredients to make an array of delicious cakes to sell on the day. Donations were anonymously made through the coffee morning donation boxes, with great numbers showing their support at each of our fundraising units.

In order to try and maximise funds for Macmillan, we also auctioned off some donated golf prizes on the day. Between the auction and the cake selling on-site, we managed to raise a total of £822.96 for Macmillan Cancer Support. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all Inspire Catering staff and customers involved in making this fundraising event such a wonderful success.
