We are delighted to announce our 2nd Shine Ball which takes place on Saturday 15th September, which celebrates Inspire Catering’s 10th anniversary and aims to raise as much money as possible for SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health).
The glittering occasion, which will be held at our latest amazing client location, Aker Solutions in Aberdeen, will include a wonderfully creative and mouth-watering 10 Course Culinary Extravaganza! That’s one outstanding course for every year Inspire have been in business with a menu featuring the best of Scotland’s larder!
As you would expect from a chef team led by 2 Fellows of The Masterchefs of Great Britain – David Hunt, Inspire Chef Director and Willie Pike MBE, Inspire Executive Development Chef, the menu has been created to wow and delight guests in celebration of Inspire’s 10 year anniversary!
These formidable Chefs have unrivalled experience in the catering industry and they are combining their considerable knowledge to serve a truly spectacular dinner experience on the 15th September which is being prepared and served by the extremely talented Inspire teams from across Scotland! This is being billed as a unique culinary event in Aberdeen for 2018!
This year’s event follows the highly successful inaugural Shine Ball, held last March, which raised more than £25k for Meningitis Research Foundation. The money was raised through a combination of ticket sales, donations and the outstanding generosity of guests who bid in the auction on the night.
As you’d probably expect, this year’s menu will feature the best Scotland’s larder has to offer, all prepared and served by our extremely talented Inspire team!
Inspire owners, Lorna McFarlane and David Pease had this to say about the event:
“This year has already been very exciting for Inspire Catering; we are continuing to grow our client base and we are delighted to be working with some great new partners and we’ve also celebrated our 10th anniversary – 2nd June marked 10 years to the day that we served our first ever Inspire customer in our first ever contract – Falck Safety Services, Aberdeen!
Aberdeen has always had a special place in our hearts given the Inspire journey started in Dyce and we have some fantastic and supportive clients and customers who will be joining us at this year’s Shine Ball!
We want this year’s event to be bigger and better whilst raising even more money than last year. The 15th September is shaping up to be a fabulous evening which will include an auction and prize draw, music and dancing and the highlight of the night, a 10-course culinary extravaganza of delicious food!
We are thrilled to be supporting SAMH this year. The work this Charity does is incredible in supporting Scotland’s mental health issues. SAMH are building a movement of people to campaign for better mental health support for young individuals, at the earliest possible age. Recent UK stats show that a staggering three in four mental illnesses start in childhood and 10% of school children have a diagnosable mental illness. We want to do what we can to assist and support all of their endeavours to reduce these figures and get these kids the help they so desperately need.”
