Inspire Catering expand their senior team with two new key appointments

Since launching Inspire Catering in 2008, we have remained true to our commitment of dedicated contract support delivered through a strong and effective operating structure built upon solid foundations.

At the heart of our core values and underpinning the catering services we deliver are our passionate, committed and talented staff.

We have delivered exceptional growth within our business and as we approach our 10th anniversary, we have taken the opportunity to further expand our senior management team. We’re therefore delighted to announce that Adam Cosgrove has been appointed as Operations Manager. Adam is currently Director of Operations for a specialist hotel real estate and asset management company who have a strong operational base in Scotland. Adam, who lives in Ayrshire with his partner and children, brings with him a wealth of commercial experience having worked in some of the best hotels in Scotland at a senior level.

Adam will work alongside our current Operations Manager, Kevin Simpson, who joined the team over 3 years ago and who continues to be a great asset to our business. From November, Adam will take full operational responsibility for our contracts in the West of Scotland and Central Belt.

Lorna McFarlane, Owner explains the positive impact Adam’s appointment will have on Inspire: ‘Adam’s appointment means we can further support and strategically develop our clients’ catering services across all operating sites. This is a key focus for us as we continue to grow and prosper.

It will also offer our Quality & Training Manager, Denise Coulter an opportunity to further focus on the Training, Quality & Development needs of our business and as a result, Denise will be able to relinquish some of her operational responsibilities’.

Senior Craft Resource

We are also investing further and strengthening our senior craft structure within Inspire. The catering industry recognises what a special member of our team David Hunt is, and his positive contribution to business enhances our reputation within Scotland. With immediate effect, David’s title will change to Chef Director and he will continue to hold responsibility for the food development and delivery areas of our business, which is a fundamental part of what we are all about.

In order to take our culinary journey that one stage further, we are also delighted to announce that Willie Pike MBE has been appointed as Executive Development Chef and will join the Inspire team in October.

‘We look forward to the contribution that Willie will make to our business. For those within the culinary industry, Willie needs no introduction and he is well known by members of the Inspire team. Like David, he is an outstanding chef with an impressive array of personal and team culinary awards. Willie is the founder of the Scottish Chefs Conference and is a true ambassador within our industry.

Willie has been invited to work with us over an agreed number of days per year and his role will not only be to support David Hunt and the general development of our catering offers and craft/chef skills, but he will also have specific project related responsibilities.

We are thrilled to share our good news, at this time. It demonstrates that as a business we are in great shape and with an enhanced operating team we are really well placed for the opportunities which lie ahead. We would like to thank every member of the Inspire team for being part of our journey so far and making this all possible. There’s a lot to be proud of and to celebrate, and a lot to look forward to’
